This year, 1,892 recruits participated in Toyota's entrance ceremony, where President Sato shared "the most important thing" for new employees.
Working together, dreams become reality
President Sato
I want each of you to honor your dreams.
Right now, Toyota is undertaking various challenges as we seek to transform into a mobility company.
We are working to make data and energy more flexible and to expand the value of cars by integrating these into society.
This endeavor is about creating our future mobility society, in which cars evolve into new forms of mobility, bringing greater convenience and enjoyment to customers’ lives and transportation.
To drive this transformation, we need the help of like-minded partners who use their professional expertise to pursue their dreams.
Recently, we asked all of you to share your “Toyota dreams” before joining the company. Why did you choose Toyota? What do you want to achieve here? These aspirations should be seen as your individual starting points.
Many of your dreams brim with a desire to shape the future—to grow the circle of people passionate about cars, to create mobility that moves the world. I was greatly inspired.
Please hold on tightly to those ambitions and create a vast network of colleagues with whom you can share your dreams.
In the words of Yoko Ono, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. But a dream you dream together is reality.”
Thankfully, you have many peers here with whom you can dream together.
Around the world, you have 370,000 Toyota colleagues.
Across Japan’s auto industry, including those in the Toyota Group, the number rises to 5.5 million.
If we continue to act together with purpose, our dreams will become reality. I am certain we can change how the future looks.
The future is something we all create together, and from today, that includes each of you.
Once again, welcome to Toyota! Together, let’s change the future of cars!
