An In-Store Garden? Inside the World's First Crown Dealership

To coincide with the launch of the Crown Sport, new Crown dealerships opened in October, showcasing meticulous attention to detail.

The 16th-generation Crown was unveiled to the world in July 2022.

The model’s four different body types—Crossover, Sport, Sedan, and Estate—reflect the development team’s efforts to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse era under the motto “Your Flagship.”

At the premiere, then-President Akio Toyoda made the following comment in our Toyota Times interview:

“Rather than just bringing out new models when the time comes, model changes should mean something.”

Following the release of the Crossover that September, Toyota began accepting orders for the Sport in October 2023.

This was accompanied by the opening of the world’s first Crown dealerships in Kanagawa and Fukuoka. Yuta Tomikawa ventured inside THE CROWN Yokohama Tsuzuki, operated by Weins Toyota Kanagawa.

Like the model’s development team, the dealership embraces “innovation and challenge,” with décor that calls to mind a Japanese garden. Inside, a stunning one-piece wooden table holds a hidden connection to the local area.

We hope viewers will feel the passion of the dealership team as they work together to prepare for opening day.
