Toyota Times News went inside Woven City's first-ever Trial Day to experience the future fabric of life as it takes shape.
Woven City hosted its first-ever Trial Day on September 12, 2026, roughly a year after demonstration trials began in the city, to give Weavers—the city’s name for residents—and visitors the chance to experience the latest trials firsthand.
The event featured 17 trials.
With Summon Share, which Toyota is currently developing, Toyota Times News watched an autonomous robot lead a self-driving car from the parking lot to a designated pickup spot.
We also took a ride on Swake, a new standing three-wheeled personal mobility vehicle making its first appearance on Toyota Times News.
Other things being tested included karaoke that doesn’t require song selection and AIRoA (AIRoA Personal Embodied Agent), a robot that residents help raise. The day showcased many ideas to support everyday life in the future and maintain traffic safety.
While there is still much more to discover at Woven City, the future fabric of life has begun to take shape!
