Teaming Up With Kumamon--Toyota's Genki-tai

2023.09.13

For Toyota, being best-in-town is all about connecting with local communities. These efforts include a project to energize Kumamoto Prefecture.

Toyota and Kumamon have joined forces to energize Kumamoto Prefecture.

Toyota Times News showcases the “Genki da ken! Kumamon-ken” project, a joint revitalization effort between the prefectural government and local Toyota businesses, from dealerships to Rent-a-Car outlets.

See the many ways in which the “Genki-tai” team, driven by a best-in-town spirit, has contributed to communities.

Later in the program, we also travel to Kenya, where Toyota Tsusho is working to provide comfortable transport tailored to local conditions.

Happiness and dynamism start in the community

Led by Kumamon, the official mascot of Kumamoto prefecture, the “Genki da ken!” project sees Toyota and Kumamoto Prefecture team up to spread happiness and dynamism outward from local communities.

Reflecting on the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, then-President Akio Toyoda shared his thoughts on the project.

To round out the show, Yuta Tomikawa visits Kenya to experience the country’s unique transport situation for himself. When it comes to comfort, which car made a lasting impression?

Toyota aims to be best-in-town by coexisting with local communities. Don’t miss a chance to see this core philosophy in action.
