One Day Weavers, a program that lets visitors experience Woven City's trials, is now underway! Plus, some familiar faces reflect on the year since the city's official launch and discuss its future in the hydrogen sauna.
One Day Weavers began in October at Woven City, which recently marked the one-year anniversary of its official launch. This program lets visitors book a visit to the city, where they can experience selected technologies and services being tested in the city.
At the Kakezan Invention Hub, a facility that multiplies the strengths of different companies and people to create new value, One Day Weavers can try piloting a Joby aircraft using a simulator, try out an audio AR navigation system, and much more, and much more. Honest impressions from visitors serve as valuable feedback for refining inventions.
Meanwhile, another highlight takes place at Woven City's hydrogen sauna. Woven by Toyota CEO Hajime Kumabe, Daisuke Toyoda, who served as Senior Vice President before returning to Toyota in August, and Toyota President Kenta Kon, Woven by Toyota's former CFO, all helped build Woven City and are now neighbors there.Setting their titles aside for a while, they worked up a sweat as they discussed the city's first year and their hopes for its future.
Visitor feedback and candid sauna chats hold clues to building the future. Toyota Times News brings you a firsthand look at Kakezan in action, Woven City style.
