Woven City resident Yuta Tomikawa launches a new series, Monthly Woven City, reporting on daily life. The first episode spotlights a development hub helping to shape the future fabric of life.
Toyota Times News viewers may remember the report released on February 23.
The new series announced at the end of that episode—showcasing everyday life in Woven City—has begun. It’s called Monthly Woven City.
For the inaugural episode, we explore the Inventor Garage, a hub where Inventors come together to build things and conduct demonstration trials.
The Toyota Motor East Japan (TMEJ) Higashi-Fuji Plant was renovated into the Inventor Garage, equipped with accommodation and a kitchen for engineers who become deeply absorbed in their work. TMEJ also supports manufacturing.
It’s not just newly renovated—the former press facility still retains traces of its past throughout.
What surprising request did Chairman Akio Toyoda make?
What kind of “future fabric of life” will be created here? New resident Yuta Tomikawa will report on it all. Stay tuned!
